Weekend Box Office #122

Still sick, still dragging.

This weekend:

TYLER PERRY'S MEDEA GOES TO JAIL (2032 theaters). Typically, this didn't screen for scritics, though these movies always seem to do well despite their quality. $17.2 million for the weekend.

FIRED UP! (1810 theaters). They are advertising the hell out of this, but it doesn't look that great. $8.1 million.

Yeah, this is a bad weekend for new movies. Up here in Seattle they were featuring some French movie called, "The Class." They made it sound like a bunch of bored high school students never being able to connect with an out-of-touch teacher. Snooze...

Good weekend to write. Can't wait to show you the two part story/movie scripts I'm workin' on, Scott. You'll be the first to read them -- if the genre isn't like a total turnoff to you.

Hope this doesn't anger you, but I gave Julie at the Rouge Wave some coverage buisness. I sent her "An American Princess," that romantic comedy I wrote last winter/sping/early summer, which you already gave me a killer coverage on. Just trying to remain on good term with my # 1 reader. You'll always get my first. You'll alway get my buisness.
