How's this for irony? Today I get in my email a Sony promo for their movie, Southland Tales. Underneath the title it reads, "The future is the internet."
Guess Sony found a way to make a few bucks from the 'net after all.
Actually, these guys DON'T KNOW how much can be made from the internet. They just don't.
But what they're doing is trying to hype it, get advertisers into it, so they can make something off of it. Which is understandable because they're businessmen.
The strike sucks. I think dvd royalties will be easier to hash out, but as for the internet? It simply needs more research before you can put a percentage on it.

Brilliant!
Crazy.
A bunch of studio heads unwittingly showing all of their cards... Yes!
Nothing to see here...move along.

This conflict gets more insane by the day. How can the AMPTP argue their case without breaking character and laughing?
